Is your 993 apart poll

I bought my late build bone stock ‘95 87K mi, manual coupe in the fall of 2015. Thanks to my Rennlist brothers and sisters, I knew how to make it better, and it was really nice to start with, but that’s another story. Thank you John!
It’s been one project, after another. Suspension, exhaust, shifter, lights, servos, etc, etc. Yep it’s been apart more than it’s been together. Just finished speaker upgrade. So I was wondering what percentage of our P-cars are in some state of repair. Not really sure how to do a poll, but here goes.

[] 100% Together
.
[] Apart to some degree

Mine is together now but in the last few years it was apart more than together! :roflmao:

993 is apart to some degree. It’s winter in NYS.....
997 is together. Too complicated to take apart!!

My Polar Silver ‘96 4S has been apart for over a year in a 3.8 build and regear. Fortunately the others are together!

At the moment, my Dung Beetle is 100% together & functional. And covered in dust.

Andreas, that is surprising in your case! Mine won't be together long, I think it’s brakes next, any suggestions?

Last time I drove mine was 1 August 2017. Been apart since then. Suspension first and now engine work. Late May at the earliest for it to be drivable again. I've only been in Florida for about half that time and not back until late May, so not an issue.

Usually it's together, but currenly it's apart at BBi Autosport. Getting the suspension refreshed and some other knickacks done (slippery slope strikes again).

39% polled currently have the car apart. Would like to see the same poll during summer

Life's hard-learned lessons:
  • Only have one 993 project running at a time;
  • Never leave your car in a non-running state for any longer than necessary and never any longer than a few days;
  • When in the company of an automotive advisor or technician and the phrase "while I'm in there" comes up RUN or if you stay it's gonna hurt;
  • When traveling in your 993 and stopping at a restaurant don't eat anything bigger than your head, no good can come from this.

The slope is slippery indeed. Not a bad shop to have take care of the work.;) Converting to coilovers?

@ sander97C2...The car comes with coilovers, so hopefully he's ditching those worthless tired old Monroe coilovers for some fresh and technically updated aftermarker coilovers.
