Funny you say that I was talking to Jerry the other day and he always mentions John as Willhoit and I always think he is talking about Michael since I knew him long before John just like we have two Bob Ida's around here one as you know is well known for his Porsche restorations, creations and tucker builds. The other a PCA member and was heavily into DE for a while. In conversation I always need to clarify which Ida we're talking about.

Michael has single handedly brought the 928 GTS market to where it is today selling some of the finest examples over the years. Most of the 928 guys hated him because he was raising the values above their level of affordability. I can't complain my car is worth 300% more than I paid and is one of the nicer GTS 5 speeds I have seen.

Cobalt is spot on. I purchased one of those low mile 993 C2S's a while back and everything about the deal was perfect. (Of course it took me a month to get the price right). Michael is a wildly enthusiastic, character of a guy but not one time did he tell me something that was untrue. The car was perfect (and still is).
Most auto dealers have one bank that is their floor plan provider. How he was able to engage multiple banks is beyond me. Selling out of trust is the most egregious thing a dealer can do (on the internal/wholesale side of the business). There is no defending it.
Having said all that, hope he's able to sell that house and make all this right.

I’m a bit surprised although I remember his house taking center stage. Not my kind of thing but to each his own. I hope it works out for all involved.
