Car Cover - outdoors, no rain
Hey all,
My 993 is garaged at home but outdoors during the work day. My cover is now many years old, thin, and falling apart. "Evolution" fabric from Kimberly Clark, IIRC, and lasted for a few years. Any new recommendations or should I just go with the Evo fabric again? Again, this is only for protecting from sun and dirt when parked outdoors at work, so not at all concerned with rain. TIA!!

I bought my cover, used indoors, from California Car Cover. California Car Cover manufacturers fitted car covers for our cars. 1-800-423-5525.
I am not associated nor am I affiliated with the above referenced company.
I have always received excellent customer service, specific washing, drying and care instructions.

Thanks ...will check them out! Still looking and weighing the diff fabrics. Unless I've missed something, it doesn't seem like much has changed since in car cover material.

No problem. I hope I can help you. You'll be surprised at the various materials manufactured based on your application.

Check out STORMPROOF from CoverKing. Available in colors, lightweight, durable, excellent fit. Keeps out dust, rain, UV, etc. Only disadvantage, it's so lightweight and slick, it's difficult to put on or remove if it's windy.

I find if I leave one of my cars out in the sleet and snow throwing a tarp from Harbor Freit over the car while the snow is falling avoids me having to use a scraper on the windshield when I take need to drive the car in inclement weather.

Longtime no see/hear. I still have my 993 but haven't been too active here in recent years. However, I reactivated my Rennlist subscription and plan on driving my 993 a lot more these days. I hope you are well. PM me whenever you get a chance. Happy Holidays, 993 brother!

I have Weathershield HD from Covercraft. I chose it for maximum UV blocking and it has been doing a great job protecting the car for 6 years now. Unless you're religious with the duster you need to wash it every month or so to keep the grit out. I just throw it in the machine every time I do a quick clean.
