I removed my fresh air servo from my car tonight. When I removed my servo from the rod, I damaged the plastic retainer that attaches the servo from the rod. Is the plastic retainer normally damaged when removing the servo from the rod or did I create another headache?
Thank you.
Thank you.
When removing the fresh air servo motor and to avoid damaging the new linkage clip, should I have removed the linkage clip and fresh air servo motor as an assembly from the rod, or removed the fresh air servo motor from the linkage clip leaving the linkage clip on the rod?
When I install the fresh air servo motor should I install the new linkage clip into the fresh air servo, forming an assembly, and then attach the linkage clip and fresh air servo as an assembly on the rod.
Or would you recommend installing the new linkage clip on the rod, and then connect the fresh air servo motor to the new linkage clip that is already installed on the rod?
My objective is to install the fresh air servo motor without damaging the linkage clip as I did above.
I will appreciate your advice.
Thank you.

Freezing at High Speeds Help Please
I was not getting heated air in the cabin at highway speeds until I slowed down or idled I got great heat. I removed the fresh air servo motor to rebuild. In the meantime, I'm freezing in the cabin.
In the interim, can I push the rod to close to keep the cabin warm? And if I can manually push the rod closed, do I push the rod towards the rear of the car or pull the rod towards the front of the car.
I will appreciate your help. It's cold outside. Thanks!

Thanks Mike! The only reason is that I'm concerned the tape will damage the paint. Is it better to use masking, duct or Electrical tape? I'm freezing with a coat...

Mike, as Joe Pesci said in Goodfella's "you're a funny guy.". No Indonesian tires. If I was using Indonesian tires the heat from the tires may help to heat my car!! I will put duct tape on. I'm freezing with a coat and hood. Thanks and Merry Christmas. Enjoy

Mike, I can also break b...b...ls. Duct tape doesn't match my cars color. Duct tape is silver. My car is black. Lol

I experienced the same problem last year when removing the blower motor and used black electrical tape. I removed the grill so I could tape over the edges so it wouldn't peel away at speed. You can unscrew this grill if you open the hood.

Your local Walmart should stock duct tape of all colors.
