New Getty Design Turbo Tail Help
I first off want to say that the finish of this tail is great. My PCar Approved Collision Center (Haury's Seattle) is doing my color change and they give the fit an A+.
Now for the not so good...shipping damage, un-sanded filler and a busted screw hole that appeared to be "repaired" (see pics)
I went into this tail purchase knowing there would be some finish work (sanding pin holes, primer, etc.) by Haury's but curious if this situation is normal as this the first time i have opted for a non -OEM deck lid
Thoughts?

Yes it’s new. I was part of the duck tail group buy and decided to go a different route. Hopefully Getty will make it right as I am waiting to get an formal estimate for the repairs from my painter/body shop.

Getty Quality
I have purchased quite a few items from Getty over the years and have never has an issue with quality. I don't know what happened here, but I am sure that Getty will
make it right. Keep us posted.

I could probably grumble and live with one of those problems, but put them together and it's absolutely unacceptable. Contact Getty and demand a refund. That should go straight back.

Looks like Getty got a returned part, then turned around and shipped that part out to you as a "new" part.
Getty needs to fix this situation, because that is NOT acceptable.

If I were Getty, I wouldn't refund you any more than return shipping costs, because IMHO you should have sent it back at their expense, and they should have sent you an acceptable replacement. If a customer wanted me to pay for their repairs, I'd expect some pre-approval process, not simply sending me a bill after-the-fact. Not to mention this $1,000 for repairs (if I'm reading it correctly) is excessive.
Perhaps Getty is more generous than me, however.

this one was $1,576 shipped
You’re close but Getty is going beyond that to make it right. FWIW, I did not bill Getty after
the fact for the cost of the repairs.
Standby for resolution.

I had a wing shipped from Getty that was damaged in shipping - they reimbursed me local shop repair costs AND refunded me 10% on the wing to make it better.
They are good people and I'm sure will make it right.
