Default Aluminum auto ramps.

Hi all looking for advice on buying aluminum ramps. Where i store my car there is a 12 inch difference in height. I have been using my lawn tractor ramps which are narrow and i place 4 by 4 blocks under them for added strength they are aluminum 10 inches wide i think i paid about $175.00 for them years ago. What i see on amazon look heavy duty and are a nice width 14 inches by 84 inches long cost is $349.97 will support 5900 lbs per axel at any one time. Are they overkill ?. What do you use. TIA.

See if a set of Race ramps will work for you. High density foam that are real easy to move given their light weight

Yes, Race Ramps are great, but more expensive than the aluminum ones you mentioned.

I would consider making ramps out of wood. Much less expensive and the width is completely up to your design.
To me ramps are like vacuum cleaners, not a source of joy or pride in my life so if it is inexpensive and it works, it works for me.
I would much prefer to spend the $350 on something on the car like an audio upgrade that can bring some joy.
If the ramp can be left in place I would consider having a cement wedge poured and be done with it.

I'm in favor of the Race Ramps. As stated, they are lightweight, easily positioned and, should you not need them anymore, have value to a large audience. Even Aluminum in the size you mentioned are relatively heavy.
