Thanks for the support guys! I'm looking forward to making other fun parts like this one, but really looking forward to shifting some focus to wrapping up my 993 so I can install mine.

I think the Re-Boot, combined with the new shifter offering from Carbone Liveries, would make for a very sharp - if rather expensive - set up!

I may be in on this...

I've been working on a shifter and have the prototype on my desk, just working on options for it now. Probably January before I have them done but am hoping the whole combo will be $3XX dollars or less depending on materials selected. The C2 and C4 shifters are different dimensions, short shifters and standard shifters will require a different length shaft, and of course shift **** material preference as well as the need to accommodate 5spd and 6spd patterns have made this a fun undertaking.

The key thing with the shifter will be to make sure the shaft length is long enough to reach and blend well enough with the rubber boot to make it look seamless. If anyone with a C2 with Short shifter installed or not installed wouldn't mind removing their shift boot and getting a measurement from the top of the flat bar shifter to the top of the rubber boot it, it will help me get a good idea of the different lengths I'll need to accommodate to make it absolutely perfect. I have OE C4 and C2 shifters inbound right now, short shifters are more of the concern at this point.

This looks great- looking forward to see what Sleepers comes out with for the C4-
Really love the look of the Rothsport shifter and not really anything else on the market-
This will go on once there's a fix for C4!!

There is an eBay seller from Mexico that sells the same wood **** for just over $100. I have wanted one but need to find an adapter first.

I'm working on the adapter, but likely will want to use a larger thread to help conceal the set screws to hold it to the flat bar..... I agree $575 is more than I would personally pay for a **** and shaft adapter and not even close to the price range I'm hoping for mine to be within.

I'm still working on the CAD files, but most importantly want to make sure the length and diameter are just right to meet up with the boot without needing to cut it if possible.

If there is a gap between the shaft adapter and the rubber boot. You could always make something that can go under the boot to raise it flush against the bottom of the shaft adapter.
Something cheap would be a zip tie. Maybe you can make something that has a set screw. Install procedure would be to install this new piece on the shifter (adjust up or down as needed), then the rubber boot, and then your shaft adapter and ****. Just throwing out ideas.

Stay tuned Similar thought process I'm having just looking towards the best way to execute it and getting data points to make sure the length accommodates most short shifters.

After a few weeks of playing I think I've stumbled on a solution that works well. I've ordered materials for the prototype version, I now have a C2 and C4 shifter in hands to test a 3d printed version. Initially it will be a shaft adapter and OE style ****, after that I will open it up to 917 style ***** and billet ***** for those who wants a heavier solution.

Holidays are coming up, good driving weather there, so trying to invest some time in my 993 to wrap it. End of the year, early 19 for the ***** but should be worth the wait (and priced reasonably in comparison to other solutions).
