Default Rear Wheel Bearing Install Help

About to press in some new wheel bearings. Confused on the orientation. Which side goes towards the car?

I would think the side with the seal faces out. But that's just a late-night guess.

in many cases the bearing has a magnetic side for a sensor, that magnetic side has the stamped letters.
the magnetic side would face in, towards the car.

our cars don't use the bearing surface as a sensor but to be consistent I've been pressing these in with the lettering facing the car.

if you learn the official installation orientation from ntn, *** or skf be sure to post it.

99% certain the seal faces out.

Thanks, I had no idea about the magnetic seals. Found a good video that explains things:

great video! lots of good information.
I've never checked the ntn bearings for the magnetic seal assuming since our cars don't use it, the seal would not be magnetic.
I have spare ntn bearings sitting here and the seals are magnetic!
