Default Low RPM engine sound

I’m afraid if I add anything like a fabspeed x-pipe to the Fister II then the car would be really loud at full throttle.
are there any mods that can be done to increase the exhaust note at low RPMs?
The way I have it now with the fister IIs, I can only hear the exhaust note during take off if I’m flooring it. That last about a few seconds and then the car is already at above legal speeds.
So hiw can a man enjoy low RPM sport exhaust sounds?
Any suggestions are appreciated. Thank you.

Fabspeed X-pipe. It burbles and pops and crackles all over the rev range. Mated with 2's it was still a little quiet for me so I now have 3's- perfect.

I have to say- I think there is some difference between Fister mufflers of the same type- I've had two different sets of 3's and they sounded quite different from one another.

would the fabspeed x-pipe pass smog test? The site says it is only for track use.

With the crackdown from the EPA in the last decade, no exhaust manufacturer in their right mind would advertise emissions related exhaust products as anything other than for track use ,especially in California. That said, I've sold a lot of sport cats to 993 owners over the years and I can say that if the cats are made by HJS and are 200 cell, then passing the sniff test shouldn't be an issue. If the car is running rich and/or needs a tune up, the readings can be swayed enough to fail with even factory cats so keep that in mind. That said, passing the CARB visual inspection in CA is a no go, as only the factory cats have the CARB certification numbers on them.

Default 1995 993 with Gigi continental radio install problem

Hi, my first time using Rennlist. I am having a problem installing a Continental radio in my 993. I want to keep the Nokia amp so bought the ISO AUDIO/POWER HARNESS PORSCHE 993 M490 sold by BERGVILL F/X. It was to be an easy install, plug and play, other then connecting the illumination single wire to Ash tray bulb and locating an accessible place to install the external mic. However, after pulling the OEM radio out and attempting to plug in the M490 wire harness I ran into a problem. The M490 wire harness has to plugs, a 5 pin rectangle plug and a yellow square 6 pin plug. The two plugs that connected to the OEM radio are both rectangle, one is a 4 pin plug the other a 6 pin plug. The 4 pin and the 5 pin plugs mate up. My question is what about the 5th pin that doesn’t have a mate in the 4 pin plug. Shouldn’t the pins be equal? The 6 pin plugs leave me scratching my head. One, they don’t mate up and two should they mate up. This is a photo of the M490 harness. The second photo is the plugs on OEM radio I removed. Note there are 3 plugs, one other was not connected to mating plug. Has anyone have a similar problem. I have still more issues but wanted to keep it to a few questions.
