Update:

1. 996 steering wheel recover is same price as 993 steering wheel recover -> 100 EUR
2. Turnaround time is roughly < 1 week from the time they receive the wheel. If you order a customization such as modifying the grip, make it smaller, add carbon, processing time will increase to 2-3 weeks.

Thanks

This might be a slight confusion in terms, There are two 996 wheels - a 4-spoke similar to a 993 and a 3-spoke that we are generally calling "a 996 wheels". IIRC, Carsdream charges slightly more for a 4-spoke recovering than a 3-spoke. Which is logical to me as most craftsmanship is needed right around the spokes.

I had the same question as he quoted me different prices a year ago. He said the price for a 4 spoke recover the same for a 3 spoke recover for this group buy.

That;s good, makes it a bit cheaper for the 4-spoke guys.

Looks great! Did you go with 2mm or 3mm foam to make it thicker, or something else?

Agreed. I'm happy with the work! I just told them to go thicker and gave them a sample image from a previous group buy here. I did not give them specifics. I can measure the total circumference when I have a chance.

I think the "standard" thickening is about 3mm (1/8"). At least I believe that mine were done this way, And it feels damn near perfect to me (size Medium gloves). But someone with larger hands might want even a bit more.

I'd like to have this done, 993 4 spoke wheel - 3mm thickness with perforated leather around the 4 spoked areas and top & bottom areas with solid leather all with guard red stitching.

Can someone tell me what the total turn around time would be & what the date/month this will occur?

Can this be with the group shipping?? I would ship to & back to my US address.

Update:

The thickening service comes in two options

4mm thickening - Add a 2mm pad that thickens the diameter a total of 4mm
6mm thickening- Add a 3mm pad that thickens the diameter a total of 6mm

The standard option most get is the 4mm option.

Thanks
