Door Handle Fix
As some might know b/c they broke a door handle trigger or read about others doing so, the triggers themselves cannot be bought seperately.
EPS sells replacements for $70ish dollars on their site. They are listed as fitting up to a 94 MY.
They do in fact work on 993s. I replaced my broken piece with one of theirs that I got on eBay for $37.
Do not buy a new lock cylinder($345) plus long wait time.
The EPS parts fit well and work great. The replacement piece has a slightly thicker pull area but otherwise it is a slick fit.
Here is the link to the part on the EPS site. It is cheaper on ebay from Vertex though.
EPS Door Trigger
FYI. I would buy these cheap replacements while they are still made. I am buying a couple more just in case.

Wow, you did well. I didnt go so far into it as you because I was lucky enough to have a used barrel, I could see they were different but as you say, when fitted its hardly noticable. Good work!!

Highly recommend, while you're in there, cleaning and lubricating the moving parts of the door handle. I did this a few years ago as the trigger action on my handles was getting stiff. Made a huge difference. Smooth as silk now.
Also a good opportunity, since you've got the door panels removed, to scrape out the dried up factory sound deadener that's either curled off the inside of the door skin or is laying at the bottom of the door. Clean it up and replace with a strip of Dynamat.
