Building my original block...
My original block as I have a replacement oem motor in my car. 1998 C2S.
I know the options are endless and will be discussed with builder but I do find there are lots on here with great experience and knowledge. Will go in a car I drive all the time. My 993 is my daily/track day car.
Pretty set on Motec 3.8 VRAM. The question is what Heads? Toss hydraulic lifters? What cams? I know the possibilities are endless if you have the budget. I’ve read through countless threads on here about engine builds as well. Just looking for some guidance to discuss with the builder. Let me add I’ve been tracking for about 10 years but don’t know ****E about building a motor.

The VERY first question I ask potential clients when we discuss engine projects is, "Whats your budget?".
That answer frames the entire conversation as it determines what it possible to do, or not.

i was looking with a buddy who knows this stuff much more than I. Think we got to around 25-30k in parts. I have no idea what the labor is for this on top of parts. Wasnt the set # but he was just showing me. Steve I know you guys are also very highly regarded. Are there any general packages priced out?
