Default Hankook Ventus Evo

just put up a wanted ad, thought I’d follow up here. I’m looking for a pair of Hankook Ventus Evo P295/30R/18 tires. Hankook stopped making that 295 width some time ago, and mine are into the wear bars. The fronts are still good, so I thought this might be worth a try. Anyone with pair gathering dust on an unused wheel-set, or sitting lonely in a corner...let me know please.

Trying to avoid having to get a new full set of 4...

thanks

Contrary to common opinion I am not sure it is meaningful or mandatory on a 993 to get the same series of tires on the front and rear as there is no symmetry in the suspension front to back as is found in an Audi or other cars.
My gut would be to look for tires for the rear with similar UTOG and grip to the ones you are replacing.

I'm actually in the same situation. Too bad they don't make them anymore, I've been 50/50 switching them for a whole set Sumis since I've been reading on 11" dish rims they can tend to look a bit stretched. Hankooks seem to give just the right look for profile. Not many options out there nowadays.

Hankook makes a 285/35/18 in the Ventus Evo, it’s well under $200 a tire, but it’s almost 1” in diameter taller than the 295/30. I’m not sure I can run that..the right side rear is very close to the fender as it is. Not really digging the idea of dropping $1k+ on new tires on all corners. The damn 295/30/18 Michelin’s are over $400ea, that’s crazy for a street tire IMHO.

I absolutely would not go 295 rear with 235 front. As a matter of fact, I'd likely go with 275 to make the car a little ore neutral.

I'm guessing that a 275 isn't going to work given an 11" rear rim.

285/30x18 is the correct (factory) rear tire size, not 295...and Hankook doesn't make them anymore either.

It'll work perfectly on an 11" rim. I mean, that's the exact size rim I'd use it on if given a choice.
