I was told that 993 alternator pulley had been updated.

It looks like I have the old version. Time to update. Funny, I have had no problems with this after 95000 miles and 23 years.

what is the problem people have had with the old that caused the redesign of the pulley? I see I still have the old on my 95.

When purchasing the updated alternator pulley, do you need to buy both halfs, inner and outer and if so are they the same or different?

Some people seem to blow belts and it can cause some damage when it happens. Thankfully I never had an issue but went with the Clewett kit for extra piece of mind and scene points of course
