Is the garage who cleaned your car the same one who would do the work if the leak was to be fixed?
You may be experiencing an agency effect where the garage who cleaned your car economically benefits if the cleaning results in a failed inspection. If this is your case maybe someone else should clean your car.

I would hope that with such strict speed laws there is never any traffic jams?
everyone just keeps moving at the speed limit - 1kph right?
so where do you go to actually "drive" your car?

Wow..that sucks! I have been told fixing every drip would be next to impossible by my mechanic. Can't imagine being told I couldn't drive the car unless it was fixed. That is ridiculously strict.

I had mine completely torn down and resealed last summer. With some additional "while we're in here" items like a clutch, motor mounts, all new shift linkage, etc. it ended up being a $6500 bill. Now you could park my 993 on top of a Picasso and feel comfortable. The peace of mind is worth it but it sucks to be forced into that situation for a small drip. Mine was worse than that.

Only because it was done by a friend who was a Porsche trained 993 tech during 993 production. He did it in his garage. He’s a great friend to have cause he’s more knowledgable than anyone you’ll meet about the 993 and he’s fanatical. He left Porsche when 993 production stopped and worked for Porsche as a mechanic on the 993 cup cars. I’m lucky he’s a friend and he loves working on my car cause it’s so “unmolested” .
