At the rear end of the shifter shaft assembly is a part called a bearing body, 993.424.028.00, an expensive part. This part links the shift linkage to the internal shift rod in the transmission. The rubber section of this part can suffer from lost rigidity over time influencing shifting feel. The rubber part is not listed in the 993 Parts catalog to be ordered separately.

The below URL points to a page that describes the rubber part, its Porsche ordering part number, and the part numbers of the parts to attach it as well as an aftermarket offering of an upgraded performance part. These parts are substantially more economical to buy versus buying the entire bearing body.

Replacement part of the HVAC suitcase that is part of the linkage to the mixing flap servo. The part is mislabeled in the CD-ROM catalog and so is hard to identify. The part is sometimes lost during the servicing of the HVAC suitcase.
