Default Aero kit splitters: yay or nay?

In a bid to freshen up the front end with a little more something (aggression?) I'm contemplating adding the aero kit front splitters.

I've also considered...
  • the RS front splitters (but conclude they really do need the matching RS tail to complete the look),
  • the Turbo front bumper (but don't feel it'd compliment the Tramonts as well as Turbo Twists)
  • the Turbo S front bumper/splitter (but feel they require the aero kit sideskits to complete the look, and these side skirts appear to have known fitment issues)
...and keep returning to the aero kit splitters. The following image goes some way to convince me it's a good call :

Has anyone had them installed them and regretted it? Pro/Cons?

Here's my 993 for reference:

All opinions welcome!

I have the kit on my car. If you do the Aero splitter I would do the wing as well,
I pine for the GT2 mustache lip and the low profile GT2 like tail. Decisions, decisions! Decisions only money can buy!
Fortunately or unfortunately I have other priorities to spend my cash these days.

Do it. The Aero splitters look good with and without any rear wings. Blends nicely with the lines of the car without extreme edges or shapes like the RS splitters. Seems to balance the look of the car overall IMO. The nose seemed 'skinny' compared to rest of the car to my eye, especially looking dead on from the front.

Much lower cost mod than Turbo S bumper too. Use the saved money and do the split grill on the rear deck as a possibility.

OP - Do it.. I think it will look great on a stock narrow body,

Question - What would be a good place to buy these Aero Splitters in US / CAN?

Thanks

Leave it be - the simple lines of the original uncluttered body is to die for.

+1. That was my vote. The shape is classic and pure.

Thanks for all the input so far - very interesting and somewhat varied opinons!

Surprised to see the Turbo front bumper in the lead in the voting - it clearly remains a firm favourite amongst the community.

Following on from the two most recent comments, the safest (and incidentally cheapest) option is to 'do nothing' until I'm clear.

Lots more thinking to do . Keep your thoughts coming.

RS, but both and sills (rockers), RS speedlines, Big red brakes. But then I would, wouldn't I?

I think it’s a good look having the front aero kit spoilers and no rear fixed spoiler. I have a set waiting for install...about 3 years now...will get to it eventually!

One of the first things I did to my C2 were the RS splitters. I thought the car needed a bit of a 'chin'. I've been very pleased. The turbo bumper would be another option but I wasn't willing to spend that much.

I bought mine from www.carnewal.com. out of Belgium. You'll never hear a bad word about Carnewal. Prices are good and Factory original. Don't let the shipping from Belgium scare you off.

PS Do not buy aftermarket, that is DO NOT BUY AFTERMARKET, if you do, you may regret it. Aftermarket is cheaper...you get what you may for. I have been down this road, never going back. Factory pieces for me.

Thanks all for the feedback and comments, appreciated. Agree that factory original parts is the way to go.

I remain undecided so will continue to ponder!
