Lowest Mileage NB 993 on the Market?
This must be one of the lowest-mileage, NB 993s on the market.

Why would anyone time capsule a plain Jane and lightly optioned C2 993? I guess I could understand it if it was something unique and one of a kind. But the owners of this car have spent 21 years petting it like its a DaVinci painting. And that price!!

How do people view a blue interior? For me, I could only consider it if it were a screaming deal otherwise.

That price would probably fly if the car was never registered and had 20 miles on it. What is someone going to do with this 993? Turn it into a 21 year old driver? It’s not collection worthy since it’s nothing special and has been driven - well 5 miles a week so sort of.
I don’t usually rant about this sort of thing and figure people can do what they want with their money and garage space.
You could buy two very nice 993’s for drivers for this price and drive the wheels off ‘em.

Nathan, the seller, is a great guy, and one of the most Porsche knowledgable people out there. He had two concours winning cars at this year's PCA Parade and lectures on what to look for when buying Porsches at many PCA venues across the county. Nathan also organized and ran 993Fest which many of us enjoyed for years.
If there is anyone out there than knows the value of a 993 it is Nathan. I won't speak for him, but I suspect most of his inventory never hits the website and is sold via word of mouth given his reputation and high standards for quality.

This version is my sweet spot from a looks, self servicing and cost to own perspective. The day will come when it will be more economical to find a better 993 than to have the one I own properly painted and body refurbished. At that point I will be looking for the cleanest plain Jane I can find.

I'm old enough to remember back when they said "It’s not collection worthy since it’s nothing special" about '65 and '66 HiPo Mustangs and GT-350 Shelbys. Some tend to forget that there really aren't that many 993's around and really nice, low-mileage examples are few and far between. As the saying goes, "cream rises to the top" and, being the last of the air-cooled, these cars will always be "cream" and fetch a price commensurate with mileage and condition. While our "plain-Jane" '95 Carrera has about three times the mileage of the '96 cited above (we exercise it infrequently on nice days and, on occasion, take it to an event or "cars & coffee"), why run up the miles when we don't have to? Someday, another owner will have the opportunity to either "drive the wheels off it or drive it sparingly. It's up to them.

I do not know him personally, but Nathan's PCA state of the market talks are the real deal. Transitive property suggests that his cars for sale, therefore, are also the real deal.
