Default WTB - 16” 993 1995 original wheels

Interested in purchasing 16” cup wheels that were original on 1995 993.
I have a full set of 18” Turbo/Technology wheels willing to trade or purchase.

I searched out a set for snow tires for my previous C4, but they are long gone.

I would say, though, that although I am an old guy and don't like super low profile tires, to me the 993 looks weird with 16" wheels, so I'm sticking with oem 17's on my current ride.

Found this pic of 16's online.

I’m an old guy too and getting sensitive to the harsh ride since putting the Bilstein HD shocks on. I like the old school retro look with big tires. I now regret the low profile tires; I got them in my relative youth.

I get it. My last 993 (about 10 years ago) I did M030 and Bilstein HD and Pilot Sports.

My new 993 (exactly like the previous one!) I did M033 (softer) and Koni FSD (softer) and Pilot Sport A/S3+ all seasons (softer)!

And I love it!

BTW since you are the only guy who wants 16" wheels, they should be VERY cheap. More sellers (2 or 3) than buyers (1).

I think I sold mine, with new snow tires, for $400 and that was ten years ago.

What tires would you run? On my ill-fated steel wheel search, there were no tires available on tirerack in the stock 16in size other than megabucks R.

Oh, I forgot the 993 used 245-45-16 instead of the earlier 911 225-50-16 size. I think the rear wheels are 16x9, so you probably can't run the narrower size.

You're right- I only see one normal street tire on tire rack, summer-only P Zero Rosso.

Good points, thanks. Fortunately I live in SC and don’t use the Pcar in bad weather

simpletire.com shows a couple more choices, not sure if they're in stock or not.

I recently bought a set of tires from them for my minivan when my usual supplier tirerack didn't have the size in stock, and the transaction was great.
