What is a CR-1 radio worth?
I have one i removed from the car and was thinking of selling it but have no idea what it's worth. Any thoughts?

That is a very cool radio indeed, I would love to have it for my 1987 3.2 Targa.
What did you replace it with?
As for the value of the radio, I can't really price it. They do not come up for sale that often.
PM me, we might be able to work out a deal.

I just replaced it with a Kenwood that has all the modern things like bluetooth. It's nothing special but it works good. If i decide to sell it i will give you a heads up.

Yeah, I tool my factory 1987 930 radio out and have had it on the parts shelf for years now. Not sure why.

Did the CR-1 or CD-2 come in the 993? They were used on the later 91-94 964's. Made by Alpine and IMO are an embarrassment that Porsche installed these. Sound quality is poor and simply changing the head unit will improve the sound considerably. That said they bring strong money in good condition for those looking to restore their cars to stock. $450+ is about right.

I have got the CDR-21 (CDR-210 in the US) in my 1994 993. This was made by Becker.
The 1987 3.2 I bought is a US car and was fitted with a Blaupunkt Reno radio, but I like the looks of the CR-1 :-)
I don't really care much for the sound quality, I enjoy the engine sound and the radio is mostly turned off anyway.
