Of hens teeth and a plea for help
I'm one of the (lucky?) people who has the rare-as-hens-teeth batphone console....
...which I hate.
Thus today I began the process of removing it and replacing it with a regular console.
But, well, as you can see, I'm missing some pieces. I anticipated the missing switch panels, but the missing "hump" of carpet was a, uh, unpleasant surprise.
Can someone help me with this part (uh, the carpet hump thingie) and where to find one?

You can buy any color and have it recarpeted. More likely than not it would be tough to find a clean used one anyway. Classic 9 sells a precut piece of carpet to fit.

Seems like an easily fabricated part, as for carpet wrap, eBay my friend!

Line drawing attached. Home made version out of plywood would be a lot simpler.

You probably can sell the bat phone console to someone who wants an OE looking smart phone mount to us with Google Maps for driving directions.

I hated mine as well. Thought I wanted one till I realized it REALLY cramped my right leg driving position. You'll have no problem selling it. It's a great foundation for double din stereo install. I don't have that missing piece but there are several other remnants (mic etc) still installed. Let me know if you need any of that.
Oddly enough I found I was not in love with the rear seat delete either, once installed I found I preferred the RS look. Still sitting on that. Need to find a good home for it.

I'll try to sell it on eBay I guess. I really want to return this beautiful car to what it should be. Note that the bat phone console was not on the order code list. It must have been a dealer installed option. I'm happy some people love this, but I think it is the ugliest thing I've ever seen in my not so short life.
Next up, I need to find an ashtray. Also, I'll need to figure out how to patch the two holes in the lower dash. They worry me the least...
