Default What connector/adapter is this?

My '95 993 is missing this 'adapter' that's connected to what I think is called the change-over valve. It has a two round pronged connector, and the wiring harness has a connector for two smaller flat prongs.

This is looking at the left rear of the engine, connected to part of the blower duct.

Completely normal. Many 993's have this, I guess they had to install a valve that had a different type of connector than planned. The replacement part nowadays have the type that fits directly to the harness connector.
Cheers,
Tore

Ahh, I see.

Part 911 618 123 01 has the older style two-prong connector that requires an adapter.

Part 993 605 123 00 has the newer style connector that fits to my wiring harness.

Thanks so much,

Chris.

Normal, it is the connector to the solenoid valve that controls the vacuum actuator related to the cabin heating duct leading to the engine compartment blower.

I’ll answer my own question here — yes, that’s exactly the right part number. Ordered from Sunset and all good now.

Chris.
