Long time since a update here.
I have used the car throughout the season. - Went for a couple of trips during 2018, and im so impressed with the old car, wich just keep on delivering great moments time after time. I am hoping to continue the trend for 2019 with exploring new roads and get some more good friends and experiences from the great world of Porsche. Also this forum has contributed alot for incresing my knowledge as everyhing is tried and tested, then written up in a good DIY. Thats a great concept and I would like to give back, which is difficult as everything is done before.
Anyways, I have been using a official Porsche Classic Centre (local to me) for adjusting and serviceing the car. Other than that, im doing the rest of the work myself. I have also aquired a camera and try to capture some memorable photos and learing how to photograph along on the way.
In april Porsche Classic installed the Elephant Racing bumpsteer kit and lowered, weighted and adjusted the angles to ‘aggressive street’ setup. The result was a brand new car in handling and corner grip. The car is much more precise and responsive, without beeing too much of a racing car. Im trying hard not to go for the full monoball control arms setup, which I had on a previous carbuild (old audi stationwagon) - and that car was no fun to drive on the longer trips - «because too much racecar». So now I think I have ended up with a pretty good, precise but comfortable enough -setup for the chassi, which also is lowerd quite a bit, but usable on inspired drives on empty backroads without the chassi hitting the asphalt.
So here is the complete status of 2018 and 2019 worklist:

- The Bilstein Pss10 lowered to RS+10 height, shocks preset to 3 front and 5 rear (soft, but yet firm enough - no rubbing)
- Elephant Racing Bumpsteer kit
- New and fresh OEM bushings on all controlarms in 2017 (Previous PO)
- New wheels 8,5`` ET 46 F, 10`` ET58 R with new Michelin PS2 N3
- 23mm spacer rear
- EBC yellow stuff pads F&R
- New headlight glass
- New T-light HID kit w/ morimoto mini H7 lenses
- New headlight washernozzels
- New windscreen washerzozzles (timeconsuimg work changeing these)
- New doorhandle seals L&R side
- New paint on doorhandles
- New OEM toolbag kit complete with new tools
- New Continental DAB radio installed
- New Focal ISN130 speakerkit installed (OEM look, better performance)
- New 993 Cup steeringwheel w/adapter and airbag delete
- New guards red belts for rear seats
- New Rennline phonemount
- Got the whole car approved with the mods for the title on the car
- New oil/plugs
- New AC refill
- New key with functional light (this is underestimated, make sure yours work)
- New keyfob
- New gas filler rubberprotection
- New buttons on the AC
- Rewrap carbon tequipment steeringwheel and airbag (thanks Rei)
- Refurbish brakes F&R, new seals, bolts, paint, discs and pads.
- Refurbish chassi by dryice
- New controlrods for pss10 rear
- New OEM black instruments (are you interested in doing a swap w/ me?)
- fix the vibration noise in gearstick
- New seals on frontdiff, change fluids and get it checked
- New seals for windows, bumpers, doors etc - its all there, ready for a respray although this is postponed to the next offseason
- Respray of spoiler
- New Recaro Pole Position ABE in black leather x2

Finally got some time left to do some work on the car. Working on the car is pure therapy these days.
Changed out the rear brakelines whiched were in poor shape. They were impossible to loosen from the copperline so had to cut them and heat them up to remove them. A PITA job for access and to work in there whilst the suspension components is still there.
I cleaned the wheelwells and put on a new coating as the old ones got beat up pretty well over 20 years. Quite happy with the result and should be fine untill I drive in the first rainfall.
Also refurbished the brakeshield. Glassblasted it and got it powdercoated back to it original colour. That should be good with the refurbished brakediscs and soon to be refurbished, calipers. All in all just tidying up the wear and tear after 118.000 miles on the car.
I have also changed out some components in the interior which were defect (lid on doorcard storage and the doorcard storage itself. Still wondering if I will take out the instruments and look if the original black dials is behind the white fake ones. Got my tequipment carbon steeringwheel currently for a rewrap, and once its back I am valdiating to take off the handbrake and gearstick aswell to refurbish and put aside. I really want to get the interior back to OE without the steeringwheel as that provides the seatingposition that I want. Thats into the future anyways.
I also noticed the sunroofliner is starting to let go over the drivers head. I think this is a job for someone other than me.
Next is also dropping the front diff, inspect it and change fluids, o-rings and breathervalve. There is some drops of iol coming from there so Im guessing either diff or steeringrack. Hoping it will be the differential.

Thanks! Ill try to keep up with adding more country side material.
Good stuff, just have your car brought over. Our roads are small and tight giving you a great sense of speed when going along, practically everywhere. That fit well in when driving our not-so-fast-anymore 993s.
Finally the car is done and ready for the season. Winters small project was intended to refurbish the paint on the calipers which evolved to a full stripdown of the calipers, and wheelhousings!
I glassblasted the calipers (thanks Rei for helping with parts for the cabinet), sendt them off to the painter. Went for Indich rot, white painted Porsche logo (got the wrong stencils 10cm instead of 76mm) and clearcoated them in the end. Once back from paint they got new pistons, seals, nipples, bolts, nuts and hardware. Also did blast the brakeshields and gave them a new layer of powdercoat and bought new airscoops for the rotors. Disassembled the rotors, glassblasted them gave them a new layer of zinc paint. Since I already was in there I thought I might as well do the wheelhousings too. Used a whole day scraping and washing with a pressurewasher to get the housings clean and added a new layer of paintsealant for suspension. Original it is shiny paint there, but after years of use the paint was scruffy. I went with body protection from Wurth in matte black to get it nice again. Then the old liners was not good enough, after trying to restore them with rubber renewer, so bought new liners including new sideskirts and put them on. The end result was a massive positive change, and it was way worth it.
Further on I did aquire new orange front indicators, new rear bumper to fender seals, new lenses for the headlights and new licenseplate lights. The wires for the licenseplate lights was smuldered into pieces along with the plastic frame on the lights, so I made a new loom and changed out the lights. Now its good as new.
Polished the coating of the car a quick round and sendt the car to get a new allignment done.
I have only used the car for a few miles this season but I can tell straight away that new piston and seals made the whole brake experience much smoother and more confident. The PO said it was done, but after this experience I have my doubts.
Anyway, im happy with the car and this winters small project(s). There is alwas something to address on the car so next step is paint enginelid and spoiler, stiffen the bodyroll in chassi and shed some weight. Custom front and rear seats are on order and this will be good! More cake for me then.
