Looking for good independent shop

+ 993 on Exotech. I have not yet had the chance to use their services, but they are located near NH's seacoast (all ten miles of it), and they are very well respected by local Porsche enthusiasts. More so by the discerning Porsche track addicts. Hands-on, very knowledgeable, and reasonably priced I'm told.

I've used Exotech and Blair Talbot in Dover, NH. Both are excellent. Mark at Exotech is a bit hard to get thru to since it's just him. I had to be persistent when he did my top end. He puts his efforts into the cars and consequently the "niceties" are often missing. Blair has a shop so clean I almost would feel comfortable eating off the floors, and also is very knowledgeable and is my current wrench. Had my car inspected at EPE and also good but quite a bit further afield from southern ME.
Where in ME are you?

I had a great experience with Mark and Exotech. When I lived in Maryland it became apparent that I needed a top end on my 1995 993.
I investigated a number of local shops but after speaking to Mark on the phone I decided to drive my 993 up to his shop and have the work done.
Drove up, had a nice tour of the shop, discussed at length what work was to be done, Mark dropped me off at the airport after a nice lunch. Flew back 4 weeks later and picked up my 993 - ran fantastic.
I believe it would be worth your while.

EPE is excellent. $$$ but you get what you pay for. Mark Nadler at Exotech, (Prschmn on Rennlist,) did the rebuild on my current 964 prior to me buying it. It pulls like a freight train and runs great. I've never met him but I bugged him a few times on the phone with questions and he always answered.
