Bought tix for Sat/Sun. Just 50 weeks to go! Kinda crazy that tix are already available, but this should be a very popular event in 2018 so if you're thinking of going, this is a good time to buy. The advanced purchase PCA discount is decent.

Hi guys, I am considering attending this event.
Was wondering if there is any information/tips worth mentioning to a newbie like me traveling from far away (from Barcelona, Spain). Unfortunately I'll have to leave my 993 here :-) so my main issue is accommodation. Do people normally stay around Laguna Seca area or a bit further away like Monterey? Any places specially recommended or to be avoided?
Any pointers welcome

Just don't be fooled by the track address. It's a Salinas address but the track is closer to Monterey hotels. You may want to look into a VRBO, there's a lot around here.

We have a Pacific Grove house booked through Air BnB. How far away is the track from there? We have tickets as well. The only thing left to do is book a rental van as there are seven of us.
