Default RS Clone with some improvements

Just finishing an RS Clone in the shop. Thought you all might be interested. It started life as a '95 C2. A new roof was installed first to remove the sunroof. Sports an Alcantera headliner now. Motor has been upgraded to 3.8L with GT3 oil pump, solid lifter cams and VarioRam Intake. Suspension is all solid ERP components including GT2 tilt bushings for rear subframe. Massive Brembo Brakes and MCS 2-way adjustable shocks round out the suspension. Runs with Protomotive software which correctly actuates the varioram as designed for the RS (not something trivial as '95s did not have this function). Also has real Speedline 3 piece wheels.

On the inside is a custom rollbar and Recaro seats custom painted with custom leather, Alcantera cushions, and RS blue script embroidered in headrest. Obviously RS shifter and Steering wheel. Car retains AC (its darn hot here in Florida). All in all a nice Riviera Blue RS Clone V2

Thanks guys. Yeah it was a complete rotisserie build. But it came out as nice as if it rolled off the factory floor. You cant tell in picture but it has an actual RS rear window.

Well done Bob!

Are those 997 front calipers? 993 RS rears? Was the donor car a C2 or C4?

Looks fantabulous!

Your write up implies rs varioram actuates differently. How was the rs varioram different than the normal varioram?

They are Brembo 6 piston front and 4 piston rear calipers. 14" slotted floating rotors front and rear (with McLaren bobbins to reduce noise).

Donor car was a C2 that came from a fellow here in Tampa that passed away. He gave to his friend before passing to do the RS build.

95s didnt have Varioram and totally different ECUs. So fitting a Varioram to a 95 where the ECU doesnt know what a varioram is made it different.
