Congratulations, what an amazing car. I would love to experience what >400 lbs feels like in these cars.

I love how you started with one of the key details in mind, the brakes. In addition to the reduced weight of the car, how does this braking system feel in a C2, what differences do you notice?

More pics!

Thanks everyone! I love how light it feels although truth be told I didn't drive it at all with the "factory" weight. The car was initially driven home packed with parts and then driven to the restoration shop again packed with parts. So I don't have a base line. It is more nimble than my previous 993 Carrera, that's for sure!

Clean and pretty car for sure. Saw it up close this past weekend!

Great job of adding lightness. Very clean build, hope she gives you miles of smiles.

It has the recall of the wiring harness and in effect it has few connectors laying arround. I will keep a eye on a VRam System, jut not sure how much goes a INTAKE witht he valves nowdays (do you need anything else besides the intake and valves and of corse the custom chip?)

I forgot to ask,did you change the frunk to RS aluminum too?

Here’s the Varioram DIY thread: https://rennlist.com/forums/993-foru...ferrerid=21390

Aluminum hood is on the list but transmission is first. But that won’t be until next year at the earliest...

Ilko San, this is FANTASTIC. Glad you did not dwell on initial disappointment and focused on doing things right and to a high standard. It shows - what a killer end result.

Montreal F1 2018 will be interesting...

Congrats!

Matt

Wow! Fantastic looking car Ilko and love the detail.

Where did you source the RS rear/front spoiler?

Ilko, I saw it in person last week at C&C @ New Canaan, but didn't get to catch up in person. Well done.

Thanks guys, yes the roof panel is from Fenn Lane. It's a fair amount of work to make it perfect and you will need a very talented person to do it or don't even think about it.

I've collected a lot of parts for a long time to get the car to this level but was still not quite where I wanted to be until very recently. The front splitter actually came from one of the Roock Racing GT2 cars in Germany just 3 weeks ago... That's a long story in itself.

See you tomorrow Tony, looking forward to it!

Well done Ilko.
