Default Where to grab high current 12v for an amplifier?

I'm installing an amp under the passenger seat this weekend. Where is a good place to grab a high-current 12v from and how to run it through the sealed bulkhead? Any suggestions?

You definitely want to get power straight from the battery when installing an amp.

There should be a rubber grommet in the corner of the passenger side fire wall near the hood strut where you can pass the cable thru.

Don't forget to install a fuse as near to the battery as possible.

+1 ... At battery with ATC type fuse holder. (8ga wire as example)

There is a grounding post under the seat also. The gauge of wire is best to be the same gauge for both 12v + positive and - negative.

Which model audio amplifier are you installing?

+1. Direct from battery, with sufficiently gauged wire, fuse and soldered connections.
