Default My Porsche App on CarPlay

As some of you may know, Porsche has announced that they have integrated the My Porsche app into CarPlay. See this press release:

https://newsroom.porsche.com/en/2023...lay-33034.html

Has anyone been able to get this to work? It's only available with IOS 17, and I've updated to that, but it won't work. I see the My Porsche icon/tile in CarPlay and when selected it says to select one's vehicle in the My Porsche app and then select the tile in CarPlay. I've done all that but no go.

Any thoughts?

Thanks.

The article you linked says at the end it rolls out in the new Cayenne then other units will follow. I'm thinking like 992.2 etc.

I have it in the new cayenne. Limited functionality as expected.
Some shortcuts. You can change the temperature, internal light scheme, radio/apple music.
In the end, one needs to click on the app in the CarPlay screen to go over the same functions with half the clicking.
I checked it, loaded the shortcuts and forgot it was there. Simply not practical.
It's supposed to be the initial step to further control and show car functions, including the main dash. As of now, I don't think anyone is missing much. I can take pictures later and post here so you can see what's that about.

Can temperature and lights be controlled via Siri?

Yea, but also using " hey Porsche". Caveat about the lights, CarPlay cannot control if they're set to dynamic.
The whole thing is just redundancy with lower screen resolution and near no care for design.

I don’t see why it couldn’t come to 992.1 with PCM 6.

Seems easy enough to add support with a software update. Tho I can’t see this being all that useful. It is likely easier to control the car with its native controls.

2023 992 with iPhone 14 Pro Max iOS17. I can't get it working. Like above it redirects me to the Porsche App to client on something that doesn't exist. See screenshot.

Yep. Feels like someone at Porsche has to push out the final go code.

I also get this in 2023 GTS with PCM 6. I think it’s just a matter of time. Currently, not showing anything about CarPlay in the app on my phone but they’ll probably update it soon.

Are you sure you have PCM 6? It debuted for 2022 911s.

Oh then maybe you have cluster 36 as the version. Looks like others with cluster 37+ are getting a different message
