I don't think so. The 992 is much closer to those original lines.

Colour-wise I thought the Gentian blue was absolutely beautiful. In person I found that the front looks a lot more angular than the 991.
I'd definitely go with a dark colour as I personally thought the car looked better than on lighter ones.

I sure hope Porsche’s figured out how to keep the CF from delaminating and turning yellow.

Good question. I see that the manual gearbox will save about 55 pounds in weight compared to the PDK. Same cost though. And manual comes with Sport Chrono Package.

Switch from vacuum-assisted hydraulic braking to electrical brake boost.

Oh. This should be fun to watch...

And manual transaxle is bundled with Sport Chrono. Why? Ugh.

Hmmm, the manual is a "no-cost option", but you have to buy the SC package in order to get the manual. So if you don't really want the SC package, the manual will cost you $2,720 more than the PDK?? I really hope that when you spec the manual, that you get the SC package at no additional cost, but I doubt we'd be that lucky. Put another way, if the only option you choose is the manual gearbox, will it cost you $2,720 more than the same car with the PDK?

As with the move to EPS, if nobody told you it changed, you'd never notice it.

More-important to me is getting the MT and no SC. Since, it is inevitable that auto-rev-matching will work in S/S+ modes and not be defeatible. And, I expect human-rev-matching to be difficult in normal mode because of emissions controls.

The way I read it, SC comes as standard with the manual box, for no extra cost. This is Porsche softening the blow that a 911 with a manual box used to cost less, but not any more.

Not sure if it has been mentioned, but is this the end of headlight washer nozzles!? About time... :-)

I'm wondering why this isn't getting more chatter... I guess everybody is too busy hating on the Braun shaver mini shifter... lol

Every car I've heard of with electric boosted brakes have had complaints of poor brake feel or just weird brake feel in general.
