WHAT?! Did they really downgrade the standard alcantara headliner on the 991 to the cheaper cloth (still nice, but no alcantara) used on the lower Porsche models??
I'm also starting to wonder if this truly is an all new chassis(?) C&D state that the structure under the new skin is similar to the 991. And the wheelbase is identical (they also comment on the new steering wheels looking and feeling cheap, which I agree).
Whether the engine has moved further middle will be a good way to really know whether the chassis is truly all new.

I had read that Alcantara headliner will now be a paid $$ option. Cloth is standard default. Nice huh??

I've seen ZERO about the engine being moved.
All we hear is about stupid apps on finding a Tinder date and tracking your carbon footprint. More fluff selling points than actually talking about a sports car (which they seem to be moving further away from and will be called a Panamera coupe soon).

Yeah - that CO2 app... Dafuq? To be honest, I think they lost the plot already a few years ago when every ad had to be followed or underwritten with the CO2 values for the SPORTS car in the ad, likely to run anything between 0 and 5000km per year...

I don’t know. The car looks slimmer and more athletic to me than the 991. I think it’s a step in the right direction externally. I’m starting to like the look of the interior. I like it a lot better then my 2019 Cayenne as they keep some performance buttons as actual switches. I think the interior will look fitting as a standard interior (not needing full leather to look as good), and I’m sort of wanting a 992 C2S (now in widebody!) with a manual but very low options. Assuming I don’t get a 991.2 GT3 Touring allocation. I’d take that over this and it’s no contest.

This car is a 991.3. It's not a new platform as we originally were expecting. The front bumper has a longer overhang to meet some EU pedestrian standard, the hood has new creases, the door handles on the sides are different, the rear quarters are all the same as the 991.2 C4S wide body, and the bumper and rear fascia are new. The interior gets a new dash/console/door trim, but the seats and everything back are all the same as the 991.2. The engine is the same, but gets some turbo tweaks and ECU tune for an extra 24 horses. Note the glass is all unchanged from the 991.2 - that's the real tell. In conclusion, it's a 991.3, not an all new car.

The 992 is certainly evolutionary in terms of tech and avantgarde design... I also have mixed feelings but I do like some of the key changes so in the end I'm okay with the progress except a few changes though (like that nubby shifter). However in fairness the 991 now looks more classic-like or even analog-like.... and to me the 991 even has a more favorable timeless design even if it may look dated especially when compared to the new 992.

Porsche could easily blow away the mid-engined Corvette if they spent the money where it counts,....not garbage apps. They have proven that time and again.
Now they're just selling out with techno weeny apps for idiots that can't find an "exclusive hotel or restaurant" on their own. Like you just leave the house not having a clue where you are going?....or staying? and trust a car app?
I've certainly had more fun and better experiences not knowing any of that,.....and finding them on my own. I don't need a car app to tell me any such nonsense.

Disappointed in the new 911's design both in and out............rear end is bloated with poor spoiler look when deployed and interior is too choppy.......shifter is beyond understanding to me......
