Fully agree - top one looks like carmine red with a filter (as carmine red is not a metallic color) and the one below must be guards red!

Guards red has been available for near on 50 years so I am pretty sure it will be available in 992.

Yeah.....my dad had a 1962 Signal Red 356 (bought new via European Delivery). I'm not sure when the switch was.

Demuro is nuts if he thinks the difference between 991 and 992 is more than 997 and 991. The 991 launched an entire new sheetmetal form and architecture. The 992 is a very close continuation to the 991's sheetmetal (nearly identical at the sides, save for a slightly narrower greenhouse.... which itself is far less a difference than the 997 to 991 greenhouse change). The differences are in how the front and rear are adorned, and the horizontal proportions, which are definitely there, but again, not as stark as the 997 to 991 which was like an entirely new language.

Based on what has been posted, I can see no difference in the width of the greenhouse. What, exactly, is the difference?

I don't think the greenhouse actually changed.

That rear third brake light could have been better integrated. Placement and/or shape of exhaust tips look odd. Can't place it.

Overall to the average person, just another 911.

Overall the car will likely grow on me, but that rear really just doesn't look proportionately right, agree with above its the rear light and exhaust...

That "911" font is odd too. Odd as in you have 3 different fonts on the rear end badges.

I can't imagine how that brake light got approval by so many eyes at the corporate board? Many the satellite antenna is built into it too instead of the "wart"??
