Those pics of the yellow car perfectly show all that is wrong with the design of this car from every angle. That color just accentuates all the bad in the exterior styling.
+1. I was on the fence about the design (except the misalignment of the hood/fender gaps - which is just hideous) but now ive seen the yellow car images I agree with you fully. It's got more than a hint of 993 going on.

Because a hint of 993 mixed with a dash of Panamera and a pinch of Mitsubishi Eclipse combines to make a hot mess. Kinda like how there's a hint of Ferrari in a Pontiac Fiero.

Saw a new yellow 992 escorted by two black Cayennes on a backroad just outside Scottsdale. They were on Rio Verde, going south Forest Road towards the city of Fountain Hills. I was going on the opposite direction and saw the LED from the PDLS headlights from afar... but when we crossed I noticed that in fact it was the new model (the back of the car is unmistakable)... the two Cayennes had a lot of antennas... not sure where they were heading and what they were doing there... because it is the middle of nowhere... Sunday at 1:30pm-ish. Sadly, I was not able to take any pictures... Cheers!
Problem is,....that is the way the driving world is heading. The group of real driving enthusiasts that want a connected feeling is slowly melting away, replaced by people that are more concerned with SUVs, gadgetry, and where can I plug it in.

Well, he probably hasn't ever driven a two to four hour stint at full noise in the dark and in the rain - with some one at full ham behind him. He has not experienced the noise, the ringing in the ears the sweat of a performance car.
That editor is destined for the soulless existence he wants - an editor that doesn't feel the excitement, perhaps even the nascent fear or the spirit, the emotion. He is simply a guy that uses a "word processor".
A vehicle that doesn't move you, that lacks quirks, that doesn't bite or challenge is not a sports car or performance car.

Imagine the same words a horse rider was telling at a local rennlist forum in the form of the village tavern over a pint of ale, that this damn new machine the is being built in town - 'automobile' is nothing like riding on the alive horse which breaths, farts and reacts to every order he gives. The tactile feedback is a physical connection between the rider and the horse and all the rest bs about human vs animal psychology you can imagine. You are a soulless word processor with lackluster emotionless attachment to the pile of metal and plastic you call a car. To a horse rider.
Now, an EV enthusiast excited for a electrical innovation could not share your excitement of a grit and vibration of an combustion engine burning refined chemical. With Porsche, probably, being one of the last companies to offer you both worlds, you have to be appreciative for the effort, not bashing inevitable electrical revolution. And for a truly spirited ride you can always still try the horse!

In my mind the EV is more akin to a horse today (for now anyway). It can't go nearly the long distances compared to my ICE without a lot of breaks (oats, water and exhaustion ),....and you never really know when it is on its last leg (Texas in summertime), and most of the time you won't be able to find a barn, err charging station for it,.....at least where I drive for fun, which is usually far away from metro areas. It's performance often degrades as exhaustion sets in, and when it does need the rest (recharge) it takes a lot longer compared to filling up in 5 minutes and being on my way for another very long care free distance. I'm sure the solution will be to setup EV ranches across the US where you simply ride (drive) your EV to the next station, trade it out for a fresh one and continue your journey (autonomous pony express). To me, the EV is the one still on the archaic side. They will get better over time for sure, but by then I hope even newer technologies take hold.
Until I can get ~350 miles or more in one feeding, and feed in 5 minutes or less....I'll forgo the horse for my ICE (Oats for my daily drive ICE just went below $2 here in Texas!, drives all the EV'ers nuts) No, I don't want 80% in 15 minutes, I want 100% in 5 before I even begin thinking of an EV. Maybe it will happen!
I'm sure as the tide turns, and the EV eco party parades on,.....more and more "editors" will fold and start to fly in formation,....after all they are just saving their job, if they speak out they will just be canned for not riding the EV tide.

And they'd both be right. Riding a horse is still a more pure unfiltered experience than driving a car. Sure the car was inevitable and far more efficient, but it was/is a more disconnected experience. Same with the transition from ICE to EV. EVs are inevitable and more efficient but are/will be a more disconnected experience. Just one step away from just taking a bullet train. Efficient transportation isn't necessarily exciting transportation.
Ah here dem horseys come standard with heated sport seats, sport exhaust, adaptive suspension, automatic collision avoidance and automatic emergency braking. Not to mention standard full natural leather exterior.
Where did this PCA editor complain about ICEs? Panorama? Which issue?
