Those colors (and shape) look familiar. What's funny is there are a lot of details I can pick apart and state I don't like about the car (like that imo horrid boxy front bumper that reared its ugly head with the 718 and unfortunately is permeating throughout the range). But it's gonna look like a slightly modified 991. Of course people will warm up to it. My only potential "deal breakers" are the shifter (HATE IT). And the sound/turbo's (if I can't come around on them). I hate the haptic touch screens and the digital gauges too, but stuff like that I can easily accept or grow on, etc.

Interesting. I’m curious as to how you were able to stand in a Tesla ? Did you open the sunroof, or does your lack of stature make it possible? I have an image of a dwarf standing with his head out of a sunroof.
13 months is a long time to stand in a car. Kudos.
Well, that’s going to depend on peoples point of view. Did you notice anyone taking photos of you ? Google ‘little person standing with head out of Tesla’. You may be famous.
Curious however to the underlying reason for post-poning the release of the 992. Is it emission wise the release is delayed? The testcars seem to be near 99% complete.

yes , it is emission related . Consider that dealers have configured their launch cars without having any engine spec , that is very singular

I can’t quite put my finger on what it is that I don’t like about that Lava Audi above.

That profile view of the 992 looks great, and I really like that blue - a bit darker than sapphire but a bit lighter than midnight. I'm looking forward to some pics of the final front and rear. I think we'll be seeing more painted area and less black. We're first on the list for a 992 Targa to replace my wife's 997.2. I'll probably hang on to my 991.2 until the 992 GTS is available. Neither of us cares about the new PDK selector, since we both drive manuals. I happen to like the new, flush door handles. As for the gauges, I only look at 2 of them while I'm driving - the tach (which will be analog) and the digital speed readout. I couldn't care less about whether the other gauges are digital or analog. As long as it performs like a 911 (which I expect it will), I'll be happy.

Looks flat and square to me. Like it got smashed with a pan.
