Agree with you. 911 Canamera, in fact it drives like one too on the turns. Straight line looks impressive due to the power it has, but looks like a luxury-laden anchor on the turns. No amount of horsepower can overcome that weight. My god, this a 911 sportscar ?

This thread reminds me of the new iPhone XS release. Performs incrementally better than the model it replaces. Some will like the changes, some won't. It will be more expensive than its competitors. I'm not rushing to buy it, but will happily do so when my current one wears out (ie, needs expensive repairs). Apple knows what they're doing and so does Porsche.

True, but Apple tends to not put hideous looking spoilers on their phones,....and continues to make them sleek and reduce the weight where possible.

I'm sure there will be many takers, but this is the first model since the 996 where (at least to me) the so called improvements don't overcome the new look. I really hope it looks better in person.

Because you've driven one and can make that comment?

Please, enlighten us more. Tell us how it handles. Turn in, under/over steer, acceleration, etc? I'm sure I'm not the only one waiting to hear some first hand accounts of how this thing handles and performs.

I agree they know what they're doing, but I don't agree that most buyers who dislike the car will simply buy it anyway the next time they're in the market. Porsche is designing a car for their future customers, which are different than their previous customers. I'm sure they will sell every one, but I'm guessing a lot of them will be to new/newer customers to the brand. I've only been tempted to buy three generations of the 911 in my almost 35 years as a Porsche enthusiast. The Canamera isn't going to tempt me at all. Then again, I'm still rocking an iPhone 6, so I'm that guy.

Agreed. Will hold final judgment until seeing in the flesh. But don't like that rear end. Bad combination of bulbous and busy.

As others have said: Panamera Coupe.

Just look at the clip and watch it taking a turn. Its all over the place with tires screaming and screeching. I would say it looks more like a luxury car than a sports car.
Then view some old clips of 911 on Nurburgring.

Here's 992 GT3

Does the rear look wider than the C2/C2S test mules?

More likely a GTS mule. Nothing about that reads GT3 other than the center lock wheels which are standard on the GTS.

The center exhausts match the 991 GT3. That's what pushed people in the GT car direction.

That's a perfect example.

What cell phone manufacturer would ever put notch there to support so many sensors? And, who in the world would copy such a thing?

Total fail, right? Almost like a larger spoiler with more swept area to meet some performance target.
