You'd think they'd be able to fix the design issue here with the two lining up. Maybe the generation after the 992?

Visually it could flow better ...

Wind buffeting?? We'll see.

^ influences from the GT2RS and .2 GT3 bumpers. Get ready for some major lower bumper repairs. The painted part. Not just the plastic trim under it. I expect complete replacement bumpers to be a hot commodity

Tail pipes from the GT2 RS as well.

Been that way since the 996. Could be visually more pleasing but likely won't change unless Porsche make the structural part of the roof connecting A, B and C pillars thinner again.

The "windows down wind buffeting" could be fixed entirely by gently reshaping the plastic triangles at the front of the door window to alter the wind flow around the cockpit - a la the AWE aftermarket piece and myriad DYI glue ons. I am astounded Porsche has not done this yet. It looks like they wont for the 992. I guess they assume everyone will get sunroofs to pop up.

Not sure how they could fix the "malalignment", It would necessitate making the sunroof wider or the rear window narrower. A wider sunroof may alter the structural rigidity of the roof. Maybe a black strip next to the sunroof to help it line up visually with the rear window? I don't think people would like that either.
A narrower rear window may look too odd. As it stands now, the rear window lays over framework that is the same width as that segment of metal roof adjacent to the sunroof.

Easy solution. Buy a slicktop!

Looks like a 2 door Panamera with a '80s style cyclops rear 3rd brake light.

I think a vinyl wrap can work.

Every time I look at it I just can't get over how bad the tail light design is. A monkey with a ruler and crayon could have designed that backend.

Men(and women) like CURVES. Curves.

FFS...

The front is really bothering me and I think I know why... It's the line where the bumper and front fenders meet. On the current 991, that line is much higher up and pretty well disguised when you look at the car as a whole. The new 992 bumper is now rocking a straight line across the top where the hood and fenders meet that just screams "I'm a separate piece from the rest of the vehicle". It just looks so out of place and odd... I'm really hoping this is one of those you need to see it in person situations but I really hate the front end in these latest pictures... This bumper looks like it should be a generation before the current 991.2.

I guess its 991 GT car for me next. I was really thinking of ordering a 992 Carrera (looking forward to some of the interior upgrades) but the exterior styling is just so odd... The good news is that I'm not buying anything new until end of the year so I should get to see the 992 in person before making a final decision.

If this really is the final front bumper, I'm just hopeful it will get a facelift when the GTS is released.

The Gts will get the sport design bumper ,which will look nicer/sportier IMO.
