Sure they will. Macan was just a refresh.

Correct, the Macan is just a mid-model year refresh. You can bet the full-model change will go all in with the touch sensitive buttons and screens.

Very true. I wonder if the old school switches, that run laterally beneath the screen on the 911 interior come to fruition ?

Eh, fluk it. We’ll see soon enough

So you’re both saying that there will be a PDK shifter that looks like a 1970s electric razor in the production car ? As shown in the camouflaged prototype interior a few pages back ?

I’ll bet bet against it.

No, I’m saying the photo of the Macan is not what the new one will look like when there’s a full model change. It’ll probably have more LCD displays like the Cayenne. I said nothing about the shifter.

And we present to you the inspiration for the next 992!

The next generation 911 will have Macan DNA

I really think it's a mistake having such similar designs between everything else and the 911. I mean, get the creative juices flowing! Let's drop the lazy designing!!

Guys, enough with the third brake light! LMAO. It will be two LED strips flush with the rest of the engine slats. Basically 2 slats, with lights on them.

Interesting, looks like more space is between the door and wheel arch on
the 992. It’s definitely gonna be longer, namely up front. The rear seems slightly shorter.

Agreed. They’re putting an angular front on a very round car. The hood simply looks forced and disjointed with the rest of the car. The front bumper being so square and boxy imo is hideously bland and utilitarian as it reminds me of the nondescript 718 front, which is a big downgrade from the 981 front. I don’t like Porsche’s new boxy fronts so much. I think it’s a clever way that they’re trying to get us used to how the EV fronts will inevitably look.

Pretty much seems like 20 HP boost for the base, 30 for the S, and the sound seems a bit better than the 991.2 (not a hard feat at all) but still doesn’t sound “good” imo in the vids we’ve heard. Maybe slightly improved is the best you’ll get.

Oh yes they will. Terribly so. The 911 has a tiny non ergonomic dainty and poky feeling razor shifter while the Macan keeps the nice and chunky sports car derived one. Bet on it.

I think the 992 interior will be much closer to the new Panamera then the Macan. The Macan and 718 are both still sporting the old Panamera style center console.

Porsche seems to put their newest into Cayenne, Panamera, and 911. While the 718 and Macan trail a bit further behind. I think Porsche is doing this on purpose to put more buyers into their higher priced vehicles if you want their latest and greatest interiors.

I think the interior needs more buttons. I think the cockpit of a 747 still has a couple more...

I’ll bet against it.
I’ll bet against it too! No way is the 992 going to have that funny little nub/shaver thing as its gear lever.

Look at the new Cayenne and Panamera. We will surely be getting something similar to what is in those two models.

Hopefully. I owned a 2017 Panamera 4 before my current 991.2 Carrera T and the gear selector/lever on that was a million times better than that weird little nub/nubbin thing.

OT, but your car reminds me of Chris Roberts's yellow 993TT from back in the 90s. If the name doesn't ring a bell, then never mind.

NOPE. Sorry. I’ve put my own hands on the horrid nubbin thing. In a dream OF COURSE. But my dreams are very vivid and psychic and unless Porsche is trolling us, which is uncharacteristic of a German manufacturer, the 911 gets a less sporty, less ergonomic, more lazy boy luxo barge shifter than its SUV siblings. What you’re seeing on the 911 interior spy pictures is unfortunately what you’ll get.
