Certainly better looking renders than some of the earlier hideous ones.
I'm seeing a lot of 959.

Its hard to unsee the squashed beetle in this version. Increased b pillar thickness and standard widebody with a squared off nose ala gt2rs makes it look like a vw/audi stepchild going through puberty. This front fascia is too aggressive on the carrera variants but will make a killer gt car... The 992 gt3 is gonna look like the gt2rs.
Having said that I have 0 doubt it will be the best driving 911 ever and they are going to sell every single one of them.

Probably close, but it doesn’t show the new third brake light positioning....

Good to hear that Porsche is finally listening to the enthusiasts and making the 911 bigger!

Wondering why these renderings did not shown those horizontal slat/louver at the front air duct like those on the test mules?

I cant wait to buy one.

90%+ of current 991 owners will be attracted to the 992 and many will trade up if they can afford to.

Just because you can’t wait to have $5 doesn’t mean you wouldn’t rather have $10.

I suspect your “90%+” rate is a lot higher than reality. I would guess easily 90%+ of current 991 owners can afford to trade up but the actual take rate will be half that or less, as is probably the case with most successive 911 generations.

Look how pronounced the door sills are. That is a vast difference from the 991. Am I seeing that correctly?

Lol. No. 991.2 enthusiasts will naturally have a higher take rate, but 991.1 enthusiasts won’t be anywhere near that figure. More toward the downside. Bigger, more techy/loungy interior and 3.0 turbo? It’s gonna be nice, but it doesn’t “fix” the chief issue some of us .1 enthusiasts have with the following 911’s.

That’s not the accurate front bumper. That’s a 718 GTS bumper.

... that the trade-up rate will be within noise of that for 997 to 991. Some folks get a new one every year. Or every two years. Or every half-generation. Or every generation. And I would expect some - but not a lot - of migration across those groups.

I suspect that those that keep a new Porsche for more than a generation are the minority.

The next one will be great, and some of the same chicken littles quoted above will be buying 992s if they can afford it.

So...new commercial for the Taycan (formally Mission-E) just dropped.

Check out what looks like (in my opinion) the ultimate version of a 911. Holy hell I want that above all else. Give me a naturally aspirated future version of that 911 - and I will finally cave on dealer mark-ups. There, I said it...

Its at the :17 second mark.
