100% been thinking the same thing: ouch! Not a good 'halo' for a 911....

I had a dream where I was part of a secret event that got me access to see and sit in a new 911. In this dream, I could say that aesthetically you’d have little to worry about and that if you’re a 911 shopper, unless you’re an N/A fan partial to the 991.1, I would recommend waiting for it.

I wish I could go into more detail. But it’s “hazy”.....

How frustrating....

Who’s thinking the wheelbase looks noticeably longer on the 992? Hard to tell if it’s an optical illusion, but I guess makes sense if it is, considering how much longer the 991’s is from the 997.

In your dream was that question answered affirmatively?

Unfortunately in my dream there wasn’t a 991 next to it to really tell :/ (how convenient considering I often dream about my own! ).

But the proportions do look really similar, if nearly identical to the 991, based on all these pics and even my dream of course. Pleasantly alike, maayybe ever so slightly tightened up just a smidge, but as we can all see from these pics, our 991’s will remain looking modern as ever. Outside, at least.

It is there to evoke the look of the air-cooled cars which had an intake there (doesn't seem to be any such useful purpose on 992)

Wish I got to 'dream' like that! Anyway, makes me think 991 will still look reasonably fresh; but much less so re dash and instrumentation.

Setting big gulp down in my dream, affirmative. Lots of details from my crazy headed dream that I want to share. Let me gather memories of said dream (you know how dreams go, after you’re awake a few seconds, you forget everything!) and report back.

Oh, as for the Panamerafication you mention, in my dream, I felt mostly about the same as I’ve felt in previous writings/rants I’ve made in real life, but a bit better. One must factor in the other cars featured in this dream which were whoaaa crazy future, so it made the 911 in my dream feel a bit less polarizing. In this dream, I felt like the environment was a bit more “loungey” than what I’m used to in real life.

Oh again. I had this nightmare moment of a pokey little nubbin that I felt like I needed tweezers to use. Arghhh I was like “wake me up!” Just say no to nubbins! What was my crazy brain thinking?

I always knew us 911 guys were a cult! Even dreaming the same.

Well let’s hope that the feedback provided will allow them to make needed changes before production starts.

May have missed something here in another post, but anyone notice that in this link.....(all the pix)......

http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/97677/n...ng-pictures#13

....that the front two cooling sections in the bumper have flaps that appear to be at difference positions depending on the picture? Sometimes fully open, sometimes almost fully closed.
Not sure if I have seen this mentioned anywhere yet. Looks to be some sort of dynamic cooling/aero feature?

The 991.2 does this. It's normal. Not a new feature.
