Why not just put all those mortgages on your house and get a Singer Williams?

Personally, make mine just a regular old, run-of-the-mill, see a dozen a day Singer with M64 3.6. The flares on this one look like it's trying too hard. Or that Japanese outfit had a go at it.

Default looks great

I think 992 looks way better than 991. keep in the mind, the car in the picture is yellow, not exactly your top color.

I am glad I waited.

Call me skeptical. However, looks too close to a Cayman 718 for my taste.

Still not sure if I’ll like it more than the 991 design, but otherwise agreed. The 992’s looks won’t be the reason I buy one or don’t, that I do know. Whether or not they provide an engine that I am interested in + how engaging it will be will determine that.

Agreed. If the 992 GT3 remains N/A, it will certainly be the last. And considering how good the .2 GT3 is, it will likely be the greatest car of all time as far as I’m concerned. It’ll be a classic before its even launched. Fingers crossed,

No doubt Porsche is behind this, imo. Very common tactic to generate interest in a soon to be launched new model.

The words garish and ugly come immediately to mind.

My current Porsche fantasy is to put a straight cut manual in a 991 GT3.

When I have the disposable time and capital for such an undertaking, I promise you guys a thread.

Doesn't look like 718 at all.

I do see the resemblance to Panamera from the back, but the proportions are different and I think that will be evident when we see more pictures.

Remember the new Panamera was designed to be more 911 like (after the style of the old one was widely criticized) so it's not surprising there is a slight semblance between the two.

For me there is no alternative to a 911 out there. The only car I would consider as an alternative would be an AWD version of the AMG-GTS but they don't make one. The Audi R8 is a nice car too but It's not suitable for tall people.

It's unfortunate, but they all kinda look the same these days.
You are 100% correct. Mercedes is by far the worst, I really can't tell a C from an E or an S Class any longer. Styling is bland and everything is coming with a 2.0T. As an ex-BMW owner, the only somewhat good news is the redone 5 series, which looks a bit different from the 3 and 7 series. Sad they are no longer considered great driving cars any longer. Audi has some exciting products like the A5 Sportback, and A7, but their sedans are also quite similar. Truthfully, with the German sedans so bland, you may as well go Japanese and get reliability.

Trifecta! You got "great driving cars". "bland", and "reliability" all backwards IMO.

Like others have said, it's a horrible angle that makes the back end look huge. I'm not sold on the Panamera look - maybe I will like it when I see the entire car from a few different angles and maybe it will grow on me.

In seeing the test cars, I thought I would have more of a problem with the front than the rear but after seeing these photos, I don't know. I am sure it will probably grow on me.

I get the comments that similar concerns were brought up in the 997 to 991 evolution. All I will say is that I liked the 997 but I absolutely fell in love with the curves on the 991. I really think that it is one of the most beautiful car designs I have ever seen. Just about perfection.

Yeah, the 991 was love at first sight for me. No question. Even in its first chamo pics it looked like a next level masterpiece. Not one negative to it imo. Perfection by Porsche designers and extremely agreeable design.

I personally never loved the 997 look compared to other 911’s, so the 991 was sort of a “return to ideal form” to me.
