Dash looks about the same, does the SC clock look a little larger to anybody?

Look at the wall mirrors above the car -- this is the real deal

The angle/perspective in the photo isn't doing it any favors.

Yeah, I'm sure Porsche didn't want this to be the first reveal. Ooops. Now that the cat is out of the bag I wonder if they will release some official teaser images?

Because... umm, I agree. It's not a flattering image.

Not a fan. But I will wait to see the official release before passing judgment.

X2

The *** is huge, maybe on purpose to accommodate hybrid powertrain. They are just trying a bit hard to tie the 911 in with the Panamera and the 718, Cayenne, etc... soon will be like Audi/Benz/BMW that all cars will look the same which is very sad. The front that you can partially see looks very very close to 718 GTS and Panamera front bumper... why??????

I posted this in another forum. It looks backwards.

Is it just me or if you remove the badge and the grill, what you end-up with would be a design which only distantly 911-esque? And only due to the wide body and the pic taken with wide angle lens.

I hope this is not it.

If true that's a little too close to the Panamera's rear end for my comfort. While the new Panamera is a nice looking car from most angles, the rear proportions are all wrong and it ends up looking too fat and tall from directly behind it. It almost looks like a SUV from a car following one. One of my favorite things about the 991 design is how restrained it is. It blends lines and curves in a way that isn't overdone and looks sleek and minimalistic as a result. If this is really the 992, it's definitely a step in the wrong direction.

A few thoughts:
  1. Darker colors are going to be the way to go for many, that contrast with the black is going to be an acquired taste.
  2. The Porsche logo, when backlit by the LED lightbar, is going to look pretty slick.
  3. I have no idea what they're doing with the 3rd brake light, it looks like a red blob. All those massive horizontal lines, and you get a tall skinny brake light? I'll laugh if it's an LED Porsche crest or something.
Looking forward to seeing the final design...in volcano grey or black, please.

Who would buy the next generation Porsche if it looked like this? I know I would put as many mortgages on my house as required to get one if they offered something like the Singer/Williams!

I agree.

I will say though that in almost every recent release of a significant car, almost this exact picture has been leaked. In a garage, near a lift with the mirror reflecting the front. I know I've seen this setup before..,,can't place the last car it was in though.,,,
