Meh. Saw almost nothing inside or outside that's better than current. Either neutral or worse. Not impress. Some of it is just focus group based fumbling that has nothing to do with the emission nonsense.

Some shots of the very 718ish front bumper. Also a whole lot of 959.

Can’t decide if I love or hate the hood cut line.

718 bumper: Bad.
959: Good.

Less organic looking hood shape than the 991. It also flattens out the appearance of the fender tops.

Flat hood cut line is reminiscent of 1st gen Audi TT.

Not a fan of the straight hood cut. Seems out of place with the car's curved lines.

Yup. It’s the 911 VW would build.

I see a faint curved hood line in the picture here. Is the straight line a possible camo distraction?

I think it looks good. But Porsche has never IMHO gotten the front end of the 911 to look quite right in the water-cooled era. Since '99 they've had to fit large radiators in the front bumper, and cutouts to allow airflow. Just isn't nearly as elegant and clean as, say, a 993 front end.

man, i really think the 992 shots here look incredibly ugly. that combined with the fact that i've enjoyed driving the N/A cars more than the turbo cars, looks like i may be stuck looking at 991.1s for eternity

I think you got it back assward. The faint curved hood line is prob camo, although one can hope.

Nope

Yup.

Straight line is the production panel. The curved line is the disguise to make it appear, at a quick glance, to resemble the current car.

The essential headlight pillars keep shrinking and I think Porsche thinks they can get away with it because of fugly abominations like the slant noses and 959. Both were ugly and neither was a 911. The slant nose 911s were the ugliest 911s ever made, and it's as if they're trying to normalize those abominations by gradually sculpting the front to resemble that pinewood derby look. They got the 996 so wrong that there was significant blowback so they made improvements in 997 and 991, but now appear to be going the other way. I'm selfishly glad they're doing this as it removes my desire to trade up, at least to that generation.
