Have to agree, or at least "ugliest 911s ever made." The ungainly big bumper covers.... [shudder]. Now don't get me wrong, nothing can take the crown from a 3.4 996. But amongst air coolers, a white 964 C2 on Design 90 wheels at stock ride height is pretty dang bad.

As always, to each his own. That could be a picture of one of my previous Porsches, and one of my favorites (although I did eventually install Cup 1 wheels).

Looks good overall.

Hope they delete those three layers at the base of the headlights. Not in love with the rear end near the spoiler but maybe the real thing will be stunning.

Glad they appear to have kept an analog tach in the center.

I'm more concerned about the final choice of motors. Looks wise, it's a 911...

Pretty sure the motors will be about the same 3.0TT as what we have today with a slight power bump (+25hp or so). Maybe X51 (or GTS engine) becomes next Carrera S and base Carrera creeps closer to today's S, for example...

GT3 motor is a more undecided question (4.0L may or may not hang on a little longer)...

Yicks, throw me a single NA motor! Must I bankrupt myself and spring for a GT3?

That is already the situation. With the 992, you may not even have that option...

Anybody know if the general shape (front and rear are a given, but I mean more the core/structure like greenhouse, doors, roofline, etc.) are changing? Looks like a 996/997 situation if I'm not mistaken. I.e a new generation, but more like a major .2 to the previous generation. It seem to carry over the 991 architecture? On the other hand, if it has an entirely new chassis (I believe it does?), it would make sense that the aesthetic architecture would change.
