i would not be surprised if sketches of a 993 (if that's what its called) are not already on the drawing board (or CAD CAM), the time required to develop a new model was reduced to less than 50% once CAD CAM was perfected since a lot of the R&D and other testing can be done via computer simulation. I would expect that next model to a ground-up all new concept like 997 vs 991. Interesting! I'm not saying I hate the wing, but my first thought looking at the resulting arch in the rear wing was Mitsubishi too... even before I read STG's reference to that. It reminds me of some of the spoilers I've seen on the 3000GT and the Eclipse models over the years... here are a sample from the Eclipse at a similar angle... some of the newer models were even more arched:
Since it's just a flap that comes out at 75 or so and retracts at lower speeds, it doesn't bother me. But it doesn't please me like the Sport Design and AeroCup options either...

Yes, give us the option of a 3.6 TT or 3.8 TT. Unless they want to take the 3.0L redline to 9000 rpm. Much easier to do with a 3.0 vis a vis a 3.8 or 4.0! That would be interesting!
I'll believe a hybrid when it's actually shipping to dealers...they said that the 991 was made larger than the 997 to allow a hybrid option, but that obviously hasn't happened yet. Plus with the way political winds are blowing these days, I imagine there won't be the same regulatory push to make all cars hybrids...

Agree! And in a Porsche, a hybrid won't be very attractive until it weighs less...
