Was the 991 based on the MMB platform? If not, I don't think that the 992 is a beefed up 991.

Porsche comes out to Colorado every few years to test new cars. They stay at a hotel right next to where I work. I think I posted some spy pics of the 992 in this thread a number of years ago, well before it was released.
TODAY I was riding my bike up a popular climb just west of Golden, CO and about ten blacked out 911's passed me, obviously the Porsche test crew. A mix of cabrio's and coupes, looked just like 992's to me. However, a few of them had NO TAILPIPES. |
