We've been fooled. It's a panny interior. The steering wheel is not the updated 992 wheel.

OK, I'm going to leave it to the experts on whether real or fake, but getting pulled that quickly is a possible sign.

It does.

And 992 has different type of dial.

Also, if you look at the right LCD screen, it shows Panny interior.

The comments about the interior being downgraded with each generation don't make sense to me. The 996 was far more modern than the 993, although the "bakelite" switchgear and other details made It seem cheap. There were also some absolutely horrid leather/wood/etc. packages, and some Turbos made a Lexus with a gold package look classy.

The 997 was a big leap, and I remember marveling at how much nicer the dash, door handles, and various details looked and felt. While not quite as exotic as an Aston Martin or a Ferrari, it was an interior that matched the rest of the car, and the price range. I still like the 997 interior, although the PCM hasn't aged well.

When I first saw a 991 interior I thought it looked like a 997 had mated with a Carrera GT. Nice, but it wasn't until I sat in one that I fell in love. As a daily driver for nearly four years, I still get a thrill when I sit down and fire the engine up. I wonder if the shiny interior will age well, and I'm sure the PCM will be dated like the 997's, but I think Porsche did their homework.

Some of the 992 spy pics are a bit jarring, but I love the move to a "glass dash." I just hope that every display is "retina" and has a very fast refresh rate. The 991.1 still had a few "dot matrix" displays that looked cheap, a bit like a Toyota from a decade ago. I don't want to see pixels or any blockiness, unless I'm playing an "8 bit" video game.

Having a real cupholder will be nice. The 991's cupholders were evolutionary, but the whole idea of pop-out/swing-out cupholders is just plain silly. The "Braun Shaver" is a bit funny, but they can use buttons or dials for all I care as I love paddle shifters.

I hope the 992 has a spot for sunglasses, as that's my only real daily gripe about the 991.

The area under the radiator intakes in front (where the spoiler lip goes) and the lower black area in the rear. If its like the rest of the new models the edge will be painted body color.

Haven't sat in a recent Porsche except for the sports cars,....no Panny or SUV,.....so haven't seen the digital revolution yet in person, probably need to. But looking at the picture above I can honestly say all the screen displays would drive me nuts and be very distracting to actual driving. I just don't see the need for it especially in a sports car. Why do I need to see a picture of the cars interior?.....as if I don't know what it looks like? Some tech is good and necessary, but it just seems manufactures just go way overboard with what needs to be displayed or accessed by a screen. I know today's and future generations seem to demand more tech, screens, etc. but it just starts to look overkill/overdone. It just feels and looks like people are more interested in tech rather than true driving, that is the sad part to me especially for a 911.
