I'm sooooooo over it. Drooling over the 991.2 GT3 now. The GT's will be pure for a while still.

The 964 is my favorite generation behind 991. I know it's not everyone's favorite though.

Either way, we got at least another year until we know what the 992 looks like. If it's ugly, good. It will save me money.

That GTS actually looks pretty good and doesn't sound half bad, if that's it's real sound. I plan on test driving one of the first spec cars to arrive at my dealer, just in case I can't get a .2 GT3. Slim chance I might opt for a GTS in that case. Freakin' hate those tail pipes though. Would need to be an awesome performer to get me to overlook that.

Hmmm... true. But, mainly because of the super-glued-on home-depot-sourced center brake light. That thing is so hideous my visual cortex filtered it out on the way in. I didn't see it until your Cylon post. Reminds me of the Eye Stalk CHMBL on the ~'86 911 Cabs. Just not as 'cool.'

I agree that there's a lot of camo still on it, so it's not really as ugly as it looks. I hope there's a lot of camo on it.

Why doesn't the Turbo have the Cylon/Cyberpunk rear end? Because it's not completely a 992. It's a wolf in sheep's clothing. Or a sheep in wolf's clothing. Whutevah. Definitely cross-dressing it is. New drive train bits in an old chassis. Maybe. Recycled photos. Maybe.

Reverse staggering in wheel size on non-Turbo mule: rears look smaller in diameter than fronts.

Agreed completely. I point that out every time people get all misty-eyed over 964. It was a DOG of a seller, and as soon as 993 came out values plummetted on 964 because it is so ungainly, mostly the bumper covers (and the Design 90 wheels you've shown in those pics, but those are easily changed of course.)

I like 964s fine, but would much rather have an earlier 3.2 Carrera or SC. They're all slow now; may as well get the pretty ones.

Both designs are 20" designs on Porsche configurator.

All anyone talks about in the TURBO forum is how rich you have to be to buy a TURBO.

This place is more fun.
