Front lights are flat and raised. Reminds me of the 928 or even the 968 lights.
I do like that the designs are iterative. This car isn't very well camouflaged and wonder why. |
Handles look streamline and flush. Notice the 5 lug wheels and how they appear to look like center locks.

I guess so, but not much build-up for two years away.

I hate the door flap. No bueno. 911s look best with the classic pull handle.
I'm sure it's some sort of stupid efficiency thing. |
While all of these models are mid-engined, the 911 will retain its signature rear-engine mounting. Just don’t be surprised if said mounting is closer to the center of the car than in previous generations.
After driving a Cayman S for 6 years, and test driving a 997 prior to buying the 991, the 991 handling is much closer to mid-engine and was a much faster learning curve on the handling characteristics of the 991 vs 997, for me. So inch by inch they are getting there, but i hope the rear traction is not compromised, that is what i am really getting used to and like a lot, i knew the limits of the cayman as far as traction out of a corner, but the 991 is entirely different in that category.... |

Overall, you're not looking at a 997 to 991 entire platform change.
I must say along with all the other new Porsche models, I'm not a huge fan of the excessive squaring off the of lines. Looking more BMW and MB. I really like the the softer lines and curves. |
hate to say this but the 991.1 with cup aerokit bumpers blows all the new models away in the looks department.
