Judging by the door handles, window triangles and mirrors I would say it's a rendering based on the Panamera, which is fitting for an owners manual because the 992 interior is basically identical to the Panamera anyways.

I must admit, finished in that color it looks pretty good. Couple things...
1. Is the key is on the right?
2. Is the cupholder optional?
3. Why did they need to keep the go*dam norelco?
Keep the pics coming boss.

Regarding the article, it claims plug in hybrids are coming soon. Elsewhere, I read 48v starter generator mild hybrid will be incorporated as well. Imagine if all rwd carreras had the 48v system and c4/c4s/targa etc exclusively were plug-in hybrid awd. Not having the traditional awd system might offset some of the added weight.

Looks to me to be a rendering based on the Panamera. They missed on including the new steering wheel that is in the 992 interior spyshots:-) The button layouts are slightly different from what I circled in the 992 spyshots.

At least someone is making a good attempt to render it. FAKE NEWS.

Definitely an image based on the current Panamera interior. I owned a 2017 Panamera 4 for a year and covered 17k miles in it. A great interior for a modern GT sports saloon, but not so convinced it’s the right treatment for an iconic 2+2 sports car.

The interior of my 2017 Panamera 4 for comparison...

Looks good in that colour (Lava Orange) and with those wheels, if you ignore the monstrous rear spoiler. Yet again, looks like 21” wheels at back and 20” wheels at the front to me.

The exterior is growing on me, mostly because it doesn't deviate that much from the 991 which I love.

The GT car interiors are going to be the deciding variable for me.

Have a hard time believing they'd put a 21" rear on any Carrera variant for production. The tire and wheel $$, is too much.

You want to see insane pricing, look at the Panny, Macan and Cayenne. I just had a base Macan loaner. Very lightly optioned. Sport Exhaust, BSM, Porsche Connect, 20" wheels, Entry and drive and that's about it. No roof. No nav. Base radio. Base seats. Alcantara / Vinyl interior.

$62k. Freaking $62k for a stripped down Macan.

Earlier in the week I drove a BMW X3 M40i. Loaded except for driver's aid pack with the adaptive cruise. HUD, Pano Roof, Leather, Harmon Kardon, you name it. Plus over 100 more Hp and Ft-lbs. $64k.

And it drove just as well as the Macan.

A "nice" build on a new base Cayenne is deep into the $80k range. Similar build on a base Panamera is $100k.

The 911 is expensive but there are few sports cars that match its thrill at any price below $200k. But for a sedan, I can get an M5 or an E63 for about the same price as a Panamera 4. And have the same interior room.

Think about that..

Good point, but we’ll see. I’ve heard mentions of different size wheel diameters on the 992. And to my eye, a lot of the recent ‘spy shot’ images seem to show bigger wheels at the back (be it 21” and 20” or 20” and 19”).

And Panamera, Cayenne and Macan models already all feature 21” wheels.

x2 well said and completely agree in terms of arrogance at the dealer level, as far as MSRP pricing I don't know about the 911 but IMO the new Cayenne and Panamera are hideously expensive now. I mean they can encroach on Bentley/Aston territory which used to be unheard of where before they were compared with Audi BMW Benz etc.

I actually like the rear somewhat. The exhaust exit GT2RS style is cool. Also I personally prefer the black plastic/vinyl on the rear to the body painted option that the 991 Turbo has, I like the black breaking up the body color and tying in with the exhausts.

That being said the front is still just God awful with the very sharp lines and Panamera style grill, and the clam shell for the rear spoiler.... oh my. And the interior.... *sniff* I am holding on tight to my 991.2s.
