I get that, but the proportions, the lines, it just looks wrong, there's little symmetry or flow to the car.

There's always a chance the mules are camouflaged really well I guess...

It's a mule... Once people see the final production version I think they'll realise that it really doesn't look all that different. It'll come down to detail changes.

And if the 996, 997 and 991.1 look like a 911 to you then then 991.2 sure is one as well...

Thanks...wow that Turbo is going through some major testing. Look at the gunk collected near the hood, headlights etc.

Is it just me or is the front end of that Turbo more flat and less rounded than the 991.1 Turbo? Windshield too.

I wonder if the flat bumper is because the active shutters prevent a more rounded design. If you look at the 991.1 the bumpers curves and tapers in at the edges which makes the car more bullet like. You can see it in the pic on the left of this post.

Also I notice the new 992 has only one mobileye whereas the Panamera and Cayenne have 2. i assume this means this car doesn't have Porsche Innodrive?

I think the flattened, angled bumper is optimized for downforce, everything else comes second.

Wider air inlets are needed for cooling higher horsepower engines- a trend on 991s since they appeared.

You don't need bigger air inlets, just let the engine overheat.
